If you're unable to connect to Wi-Fi, open the Apple Software Update application in Windows and install all available updates. If you can't connect to the Internet via wired connection in Windows, start up in macOS and follow these steps:. Connect an external device—such as a USB flash drive formatted for Windows—to your Mac. Open Boot Camp Assistant. It's in the Utilities folder, inside the Applications folder. Choose Action Download Windows Support Software.
Select the external device as the destination for the software. Boot your Mac into Windows and install the update from the external device. I just upgraded my MacBook pro from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. I am running bootcamp (no fusion). After upgrading, I downloaded and installed the latest bootcamp drivers. This immediately fixed a problem I had with my Bluetooth driver, but I am currently having a problem with my network Wifi driver. My laptop works fine until it sleeps or hibernates. After waking it, I cannot use the Wifi adapter. When attempting to connect to a network, it shows limited data and has no internet access.
I am also having issues with this, except I have a late 2012 Mac Mini with Windows 8 in Bootcamp. I have a Apple Wireless Keyboard and MS Sculpt Touch mouse which work perfect in OSX Mountain Lion. In Windows 8 the performance is unbelievably poor and jittery. Windows is designed to use older drivers when newer ones can not be found. The drivers for Apple hardware is included in the 'Boot Camp Support Software' (BCSS). If Apple did not supply Windows 10 BCSS for your Mac, you should use latest available BCSS that Apple documents is designed for your Mac.
I tried disabling/enabling the adapter with no luck. I uninstalled/reinstalled the Broadcom driver with no luck. I have hyper-v installed, but removed all bridged connections. IP config shows no connection. The only way to fix the problem is to reboot. Any suggestions?
Hello Michke, Thank you for posting your question on Microsoft community. I appreciate you for providing details about the issue. This issue may occur due to corrupt wireless drivers or settings. I would suggest you to refer the following article and check if it helps. Refer: No wireless networks are available after you upgrade from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 Note: Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully.
For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: I hope this information helps. Please do let us know if you need any further assistance. This same issue occurs with a fresh install so this issue has nothing to do with a Windows 8.1 upgrade to Windows 10. The NIC problem occurs in 'Sleep' mode. Upon wake, Windows tries to install a 2nd NIC adapter rather than waking and re-enabling the existing adapter.
'Hibernate mode only' used to be my goto solution (i.e. Eliminating all Sleep options), but now with the latest Windows 10 Creator update on a fresh install on my MBP, I am having video quality issues after waking from hibernation, forcing a complete hard reset at times to correct. If you search the Internet, this NIC problem has been around a long time and has not been corrected. Isn't there any way we can get this addressed so Sleep works?
Apple doesn't seem to give a rats%#@ because its not their OS, but Microsoft has been no help so far as well and of course, all of this works fine in MacOS.
